Differences in planning, control, or lack thereof

There are two ends of a spectrum for travelers, and it’s this:

“I can’t possibly have unknowns in my schedule for traveling. Every day needs to be planned out.”

The sense of sureness in these words are a reassurance in itself that everything is and can be set neatly in its place. An itinerary carved in a stone tablet inspires panic should there be cracks in the slate.

“I’ll figure out where I’ll stay when I land.”

Perhaps spoken from a place that requires humbling, this traveler addresses the fear of missing out by choosing nothing until a fork decides for them. (Check.)
